Red coral, also known as Moonga, is a bright, opaque orange-red coloured stone.

The value of red coral is determined by its color, size, and quality. Deep, uniform red corals without any cracks or blemishes are typically the most valuable. Beware of lower quality red corals which are lower value and hold less significance.

The most notable sources of red coral are found in the Mediterranean Sea, particularly off the coasts of Italy, Spain, and Tunisia.
